Metanoia Permaculture Farm & Distillery, located near Barrydale in the picturesque Tradouw Valley, embraces regenerative agricultural principles, including permaculture, agroforestry, and holistic management. The Tradouw Valley’s rich history of distilling, along with its abundance of high-quality fruits and botanicals such as Buchu, Artemisia Afra, and Confetti Bush, provides the perfect environment for producing exceptional fruit brandies and botanical spirits like gin, absinthe, and aquavit. Sustainability is central to their operation, with by-products from the distillery recycled into the farm’s ecosystem.
Metanoia’s spirits are crafted from ingredients grown on the farm, using state-of-the-art equipment that also produces world-class whisky and rum. Their mission is to create quality spirits at fair prices, with profits reinvested into the farm and the upliftment of their local community.
